A lot of people have asked if I ever thought about quitting when times got rough. My single answer has always been ‘no’. To quit means you’re admitting defeat and that is something you should never allow yourself to do. Selling and buying real estate is not easy by any means, but if the hard times strain you to the point of wanting to “throw in your real estate towel”, maybe this profession isn’t for you.
Truly successful agents embrace the adversity and find a way to persevere and triumph. My own philosophy has been to find your passion, but also find your personal WHY. Why are you getting up and busting your butt everyday? Write these down, follow them, and be sure to execute to reach your goals. If you do this, the idea of quitting will NEVER CROSS YOUR MIND.
