VFL Day 4: Getting Pumped for Training Camp

Today, we learn the importance of preparation. And what does every all-star have to guide them through the season? A PLAYBOOK!

I know you scheduled some time with a colleague or a friend who is going to hold you accountable because I reminded you on Day 2 AND Day 3. (I really don’t want to hear any excuses!)

Download (AND REVIEW) the VFL Playbook

Before you meet with your accountability partner, you have to read every page of the Playbook. You want to be familiar with the playbook.

Remember when you went on your first listing presentation or the first time you met with a buyer? It was intimidating. We don’t want to feel intimidated and freeze up. Being unconfident and unprepared will seriously affect your ability to execute.

Instructions for Training

  • Practice what you are going to say by roleplaying with your partner (be sure to give each other honest feedback)
  • Leave voicemails on your phone so you know what you sound like
  • Use the Playbook for scripts to help you sound professional

I know you are busy with other things that you have to do but you shouldn’t need more than 35-45 minutes of prep time.

I also know roleplaying and prepping feels really silly. However, you don’t want to be the agent that misses out on a great vendor because you weren’t prepared.

Make sure you follow all the steps and that you use all the information that I’ve given you. Preseason starts tomorrow! Make sure you are ready to go!
