How Throwing A Party Will Make You More Successful
Throw your clients a party. That’s right. A full-service housewarming party.
In addition to my awesome communication, my top-notch negotiating and my overall real estate knowledge, I offer to throw my clients a rockin’ housewarming party. This is one of my favorite value props because it’s so easy, it’s so fun and it get leads!
Not everyone will take you up on this offer but that’s ok. It’s such a win-win opportunity that even if only a few of your clients accept, you will still come out ahead.
This isn’t like cold calling or trying to start a conversation at the grocery store.
Here are a few takeaways that provide plenty of opportunity for referrals and leads:
- Celebrate with your clients, in their brand new house, with all of their friends and family.
- Get belly to belly with people who are excited about their friend’s new home.
- You have a completely captive audience of people who are seeing the awesome value you provide.
I was the awesome Realtor that sells homes AND throws parties! I would order the food, do the setup and cleanup, and schedule my assistant to take photos. After the party I would upload those photos to Facebook, tag my clients, they would tag their friends and suddenly my name was all over everybody’s Facebook feeds.
Leverage Your Network
For the food, I partnered with my favorite local restaurant. I worked out a deal where I would purchase several party platters and I agreed to put out signs that said “Food provided by Cattlemans’ Steakhouse.” They cut me a deal on the price and in return, Cattlemans got free advertising. Again, win-win.
I should mention (even though I shouldn’t have to), you don’t have to go out and get prime rib. You’ll go broke. I promise people will gobble up little smokies out of a crock-pot! As I always say, this is the mint on the pillow. YOU are the luxury hotel.
